Legal paperwork that fills itself in

Every photovoltaic order needs two pieces of paper: a power of attorney to act on the customer's behalf in reserving grid capacity, and a consent to process their personal data. The details were already in the system — there was just no way to get them onto the documents other than retyping them.

The automation fires by itself, at the moment an order reaches the stage where those documents are needed. Nobody clicks anything and nothing gets forgotten, because the step is not an item on a to-do list — it is part of the process.

The customer receives the documents for electronic signature, signed copies are filed on the company drive, and every send leaves a record. When something goes wrong, it is clear when and on which order.

This one is also a good illustration of what "automation" means in practice: no new application appeared that anyone has to log into. Work that a person used to do by hand simply stopped existing.
